Andy purchased Lupton Lodge in 2005 and since then have been building up the quality, facilities and reputation of the business through a process of attention to detail, hard work and a love of what he does.
Andy is originally from England. After spending many years travelling the world he is confident that New Zealand really is the best place to be on earth.
Interested in encouraging tourists to go off-the-beaten-track, he searched for a place that he could believe in and develop into something special for both international and domestic travellers.
Andy gave up his desk job and re-trained as a chef in preparation for running Lupton Lodge. He makes delicious meals for guests and looks after the property and Lodge. If you have special dietary requirements he’s more than happy to accommodate them….
In his spare time Andy loves to explore Northland, especially the walking tracks, beaches and local cafes. If you’re looking for activities in the local area or wanting advice on your trip around Northland (or greater New Zealand) please don’t hesitate to ask.
