We are traveling New Zealand for 3 weeks, staying in 9 different hotels. The Lupton Lodge will be very hard to top. We really wish it would have been possible to pick up the entire property and take it with us from city to city. The rooms were very nicely decorated, comfortable and quite quiet as well. The hosts were very nice people whose knowledge of the area made our stay even better. DO NOT stay here without having Andy make you breakfast. He’s an excellent chef. Probably the only downside is knowing that we will most likely never make it back to the lodge.
